Muzaffarnagar News: ‘God of miscreants’ injured in UP Police encounter, used to kill with betel nut

In Muzaffarnagar district of Western Uttar Pradesh, two criminals who demanded extortion of Rs 10 lakh from a businessman were arrested by the Civil Lines police station after an encounter. In the retaliatory action of the police, a miscreant was injured by a bullet, who has been admitted to the hospital for treatment. Police have also recovered illegal pistols, cartridges and mobile phones used in the incident from both of them.

In fact, on March 4, businessman Rajiv Jain, resident of Patel Nagar, had lodged a complaint at the Civil Lines police station that unknown miscreants were threatening to kill him on mobile phone and demanding extortion of Rs 10 lakh in exchange for security. On the basis of the complaint, the police registered a case and started investigating the matter.

A miscreant got shot in self-defense action by the police

During the investigation, on Friday (February 6), the police received information from an informer that the criminals demanding extortion were waiting to commit some crime near Bamanhedi railway station. As soon as the information was received, the police team reached the spot. Seeing the police, the miscreants started running towards the forest and took cover under the trees and started firing at the police.

The police warned the miscreants to surrender, but they continued firing. After this, the police retaliated in self-defense, in which one miscreant was injured by the bullet, while the other was caught during combing.

Betel nut worth Rs 20 lakh was found against the businessman in jail

The injured miscreant has been identified as Pratap Chaudhary alias ‘God of Miscreants’, resident of Hussainpur police station Ramraj, Muzaffarnagar. His associate Ravi alias Sutter, resident of Bakharpur police station Baleni, Baghpat was also arrested by the police.

During interrogation, the accused told that they commit murder by taking betel nut. Pratap revealed that in jail he had met a person named Atul Kumar, who had given him a contract of Rs 20 lakh for the murder of businessman Rajeev Jain. The police is now busy searching for this entire gang and its other associates.
