Earthquake tremors were felt in India’s neighboring country Myanmar on Tuesday (30 September, 2025) in the early hours. The intensity of this earthquake has been recorded at 4.7 on the Richter scale. These tremors were also felt in the northeastern states. These include Manipur, Nagaland and Assam.

According to the National Center of Sismology (NCS), the shock came around 6.10 am. Their center was 15 km below the land in Ukhul, 27 km south-east from Manipur. For information, let us know that this place is located 155 km from Vokha, Nagaland, 155 km from South-South and 159 km from Dimapur.

In fact, an earthquake also occurred in Satara in Maharashtra late on Monday night, tremors were felt late in the night. The epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 5 km from the ground in 91 km north-west from Kolhapur. This was followed by an earthquake of 3.3 magnitude in Tibet at 4.28 am, in which there was no loss of life and property.

The center of earthquake was just 27 km from Ukharul in Manipur
According to the National Earthquake Science Center, the earthquake in Myanmar, very close to India’s border, occurred only 27 km south-east from Ukhrul in Manipur. According to the NCS, the exact coordinates of the earthquake were 24.73 north and longitude 94.63 east. No news of loss of life has been revealed so far.

The earthquake has occurred in another neighboring country of India, about three days after the tremor of an earthquake of 3.5 magnitude on Saturday i.e. 27 September. The depth of that earthquake was 10 kilometers and it came only 89 km from Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal, very close to India.
