Myanmar earthquake: According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), a total of 14 earthquakes were recorded in Myanmar within 10 hours on Friday (March 28). The intensity of the first earthquake was 7.7. This was followed by a second powerful shock of 6.7 magnitude.
Till Saturday, Myanmar’s ruling Junta confirmed that the death toll from the earthquake has increased to 694, while 1,670 people were injured. Rescue operations are still going on.
