Nadiya ke paar actor Sachin pilgaonkar won the national award at age of five

Very few people would know that Sachin Pilgaonkar had faced the camera at the young age of 5 years. He was seen in the 1962 film ‘Yes Maja Marg Akela’.

His work in this film was so much liked by everyone that he was also awarded the National Award for this. He was given this avorge by Shri Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the second President of the country.

An anecdote of this was also shared by Sachin on Kapil Sharma’s show. The actor had told that, as soon as he brought the award, he was first called by Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and also gave a rose sitting on his lap.

Let me tell you that after ‘Balika Vadhu’, the actor worked in many great films like ‘Rivers Ke Paar’, ‘Satte Pe Power’, ‘Sholay’, ‘Brahmachari’.

Talking about personal life, Sachin Pilgaonkar married actress Supriya Pilgaonkar. Both are parents of a daughter Shriya Pilgaonkar.
