Nagina MP Chandrashekhar Azad posted on X and wrote-“The decision by the Uttar Pradesh government to merge 27,965 primary schools of the state is not only anti-education, but it is a clear disregard of the basic spirit of social justice, Article 21A of the Constitution of India, Right to Education Act (RTE Act 2009) and Article 46 of Social Justice.
Chandrashekhar Azad said- “This policy of the government will make the posts of 1,40,000 teachers, 56,000 Shiksha Mitras and 56,000 cooks to be irrelevant. It is not just education, the livelihood of millions of families is a direct attack Community association and basic identity of life. “
He further wrote- “When the government says that” there will be merger in the nearest school “, it means that now children will have to go up to 3 to 5 kilometers away. It will have a direct effect that the school dropout rate will increase. Especially daughters will be forced to leave school in large numbers. Children’s future is being closed
Chandrashekhar Azad further wrote-Anuction 21A gives all children the right to free and compulsory education at the age of 6 to 14 years, which in Section 6 of RTE Act 2009 clarify that it is the responsibility of the state to have a school near every township. Along with this, Article 46 instructs the state to make special protection of the Scheduled Castes, Tribes and the weaker sections of the society in education and economic interests, but this merger policy will prove to be more marginalized. Education is not a spreadsheet, this is the first right of life
He said- “We demand from the UP government: 1. 1. This merger policy should be stopped with immediate effect. 2. In every village, a local school should be guaranteed in every village according to the Constitution and RTE Act. 3.
