36 year old Suraj Shivanna, resident of BEL Layout, Vidyaranyapura, Bengaluru, committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling fan. His wife Ganvi had committed suicide last Monday (December 22), just one and a half months after their marriage, in the limits of Vidyaranyapura police station. Alleging threats against Ganvi’s relatives, Sooraj, his younger brother Sanjay (35) and their mother Jayanti Shivanna (60) left for Hyderabad and then reached Nagpur on Friday (December 26).
As soon as Suraj’s mother got the news of his death, she also tried to commit suicide, but she was saved by the deceased’s younger brother Sanjay. According to sources, Suraj’s mother was admitted to Nagpur AIIMS for treatment. Where he is being treated.
