Heavy firing took place at the Holi Milan celebration in Nalanda, Bihar. Many artists including Bhojpuri singer Roshan Rohi had attended this program on Sunday (01 March). Suddenly the incident of stone pelting, fighting and firing created panic in the area. After receiving the information, the local police station reached the spot. Seeing the tension in the area, a large number of police forces arrived and surrounded the venue of the event, after which a raid was conducted.
Four sophisticated weapons have been recovered during the police raid. Police have detained many people including Bhojpuri singer Roshan Rohi. RJD leader Yasir Imam had arrived as the chief guest of this program along with his bouncer. The recovered weapon is said to be that of RJD leader’s bouncer. According to the information, local people have also broken five luxury vehicles. Police have recovered more than two dozen shells.
3 people including journalist injured
It is being told that this program was organized in the water park located in Nakatpura village of Bihar police station area. During this time, there was an argument over some issue with the local people and the people participating in the program, after which the local people opened fire, after which a ruckus broke out. During this, three people including journalist of a news channel Hrishikesh Kumar were injured. In which a young man was also shot, he has been referred to Bihar Sharif for better treatment.
Police were not informed about the program – DSP
Sadar DSP Nurul Haq said that no information was given to the local police station regarding this program nor was any permission given by the district administration to organize this program. This program was going on without permission. The police is investigating the entire matter. The organizer has also been detained. At present the police is camping in this area.
