Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left for Israel for a 2-day visit. Meanwhile, Jerusalem Post paper has put his picture on the front page and has written Namaste Modi along with it. Before the tour, PM Modi said that today and tomorrow he will be on a state visit to Israel. He said that India and Israel have a strong and multi-dimensional strategic partnership, which has strengthened significantly in the last few years.
PM Modi further wrote on X (formerly Twitter) that the Prime Minister said that during this visit he will hold talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. During this, both will consider measures to further strengthen cooperation in various fields including defence, agriculture, technology, innovation, cyber security and trade. Apart from this, Prime Minister Modi will also meet Israeli President Isaac Herzog. He said that this meeting will be an opportunity to further advance the high-level political trust and partnership between the two countries.
PM Modi will address Israel’s Parliament
Prime Minister Modi will also address the Israeli Parliament, the Knesset. It has been described as a symbol of the partnership of strong parliamentary traditions and democratic values between India and Israel. He also said that he will meet the people of the Indian community living in Israel. According to the Prime Minister, the Indian community has played an important role in strengthening the friendship and cooperation between the two countries. This visit is considered important from the point of view of giving new direction and momentum to bilateral relations.
