Namo Bharat Train: The month of Sawan starts from July 11 (tomorrow) and with this there is a huge increase in the number of Kanwari going to Haridwar. A large number of devotees from Delhi, Meerut and surrounding areas depart towards Haridwar to bring Kavad.

Keeping this in mind, the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has taken an important decision, under which the frequency of Namo Bharat Train is being increased during the Kandar Yatra.

Now Namo Bharat train will run every 10 minutes

According to the information released by NCRTC, the Namo Bharat train running between New Ashok Nagar and Meerut South from July 11 will now run every 15 minutes instead of 10 minutes. This facility will be available for passengers especially from 8 am to 11 am and from 5 pm to 8 pm. Currently, this semi-high-speed train is running on a section of about 55 km, adding 11 stations and so far its ride figure has crossed 1.25 crores.

Train service helpful in reducing pressure on roads

Significantly, at the time of Kavad Yatra, the vehicle pressure on the roads from Delhi to Haridwar increases a lot. The entry of heavy vehicles and buses in Meerut is also temporary. In such a situation, the increased frequency of Namo Bharat train will not only give relief to the devotees, but will also help in reducing the burden of road traffic. It is expected that a large number of people from Meerut and surrounding areas will take advantage of this railway service.

Security and convenience of devotees in priority

NCRTC said that work on Namo India and Metro projects in Meerut is also going on fast. Every effort is being made to ensure the safety of the devotees during the Kavad Yatra. Traffic marshals are being deployed at major sites, as well as adequate lights have been arranged around and around them.

Ban on road repair and construction work

In view of the Kanwar Yatra, the work of repairing pits and damaged parts on the roads adjacent to the Namo Bharat Railway has been almost completed. No construction work will be done especially during the journey in congested areas. NCRTC has also clarified that vehicle parking will not be allowed near the station or around the site, so that there is no interruption in traffic.

The NCRTC along with the local administration is fully active for the convenience, security and smooth journey of the devotees. Due to which the devotees do not have to face any kind of inconvenience in the Kanwar Yatra.
