This feat has been done by three 22-year-old friends from Silicon Valley. Brendan Foody, along with Indian origin Adarsh Hirmeth and Surya Vidhan, has broken this record. The three friends together have created an AI recruiting platform named Mercor.
The company recently received funding of $350 million. Which is approximately Rs 2,900 crore in Indian rupees. With this funding, the company’s valuation reached $10 billion. With this achievement, the three friends have become the youngest self-made billionaires. Mark Zuckerberg became a billionaire at the age of 23.
How did this journey begin?
Adarsh Hirmeth, Surya Vidhan and Brendan Foody were studying together at Bellarmine College Preparatory in San Jose, California. During this time they became friends. The three friends often used to prepare for national debate tournaments. It was during this period that his ability of logical thinking and rapid analysis developed.
Which later became useful for the success of the company. After this, the three friends separated for further studies but all three kept talking on AI and the future of work. Surya’s parents had settled in America from Delhi.

According to Hiremath, his life has completely changed at such a young age. While Hiremath was pursuing his studies at Harvard, Surya was studying foreign studies at Georgetown University and Brendan Foody was studying economics there.
All three had decided to leave their studies at almost the same time and focus on Mercor. Now its success tells a different story. Mercor’s success has drawn the attention of the entire tech world towards them.
