After admission in NDA, the youth are not only given physical and academic training, but they also get a fixed stipend every month. For three years of training, they are given a fixed amount of Rs 56,100 per month, due to which they also become financially self -sufficient.
Salary increases as soon as it becomes an officer
When the candidates get commission as an officer after completing training, then there is a big increase in their salary. As a lieutenant, he starts from Rs 56,100 per month, which gradually increases according to the rank and after a few years this salary reaches millions.

Salary to rank
As the rank of officer in the army increases, their salary also goes above the same speed. A captain gets about 61,000 to 1.93 lakh rupees, Major gets salary from 69,000 to 2.07 lakh rupees, while Lieutenant Colonel gets salary from 1.21 lakh to 2.12 lakh rupees.
In this sequence, the salary of Colonel, Brigadier and Major General reaches Rs 1.30 lakh to Rs 2.18 lakh. At the highest positions, such as Lieutenant General and Army Chief (COAS), fixed salary is available. About Rs 2.24 lakh is given to Lieutenant General and Rs 2.50 lakh to the army chief is given a monthly salary.
There is also relief from allowances and facilities
Apart from the basic salary, the officers made by passing the NDA also get many allowances. These include DA (dearness allowance), HRA (House Rent Allowance), Transport Allowance and Military Service. Also, they are also provided facilities like government housing, free medical facility, ration, help in children’s education and pension after retirement.
