Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, while speaking openly on the need for generational change in leadership, has said that when a system starts running smoothly, the older generation should step back and hand over the responsibility to the next generation. This statement of Gadkari has come at a time when there is a continuous discussion in the country about bringing youth forward in politics, industry and organizations. He made this comment in the context of Vidarbha-Khasdar Industrial Festival in a press conference held in Nagpur.
Advocacy to bring forward youth leadership
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said that gradually there should be generational change in every field. He said in clear words that when the new generation starts assuming responsibility and the system starts running well, then the seniors should step back respectfully. According to Gadkari, this change should not happen under any pressure but as a natural process.
‘Now we should retire’
Gadkari said, ‘Ashish’s father is my friend. Now we should gradually retire and hand over the responsibility to the new generation. When this system starts running smoothly, then we too should retire and do some other work. His statement is being seen as a sign of trust in the youth along with experience.
Youth participation in Advantage Vidarbha initiative
Gadkari praised Ashish Kale, President of AID (Association for Industrial Development), saying that he has actively involved the young generation in the ‘Advantage Vidarbha’ initiative. Describing it as a positive step, Gadkari said that any initiative gets new energy and direction with the participation of youth.
3rd year of Advantage Vidarbha Expo
Chief Guide of AID, Nitin Gadkari said that ‘Advantage Vidarbha Expo’, organized from February 6 to 8 in Nagpur, has entered its third year. This three-day event has become an important platform to present the industrial potential of Vidarbha region before the country.
The aim is to give Vidarbha a strong identity on the industrial map.
Gadkari said that Vidarbha region has capable and innovative entrepreneurs in various fields. The objective of this expo is to establish Vidarbha as a strong and emerging growth center on the industrial map of India. He also stressed on balanced development of industry, agriculture and allied sectors and service sector for overall development of any region.
Industries from these areas will be included
‘Advantage Vidarbha Expo’ will see participation from industries from sectors like textiles, plastics, minerals, coal, aviation, logistics, IT, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, defence, real estate, renewable energy and startups. Through the event, it is expected to give new impetus to investment, employment and regional development.
