The investigation so far has not revealed anything behind the death of the NEET student living in Shambhu Girls Hostel in Patna. The report was submitted by the SIT but it has not been made public yet. Meanwhile, on Saturday (January 31, 2026), the statement of the victim’s lawyer SK Pandey came.

Advocate SK Pandey of the victim’s side said, “The parents told us that DGP Saheb was putting pressure on him. He was saying that you should accept that it is not rape and murder, it is just suicide. This is quite sad in itself. It raises very serious questions on the credibility and impartiality of the SIT and the investigating agencies. We are considering whatever will be done under the law in this regard.”

‘Evidence and evidence were destroyed’

In response to a question, SK Pandey said, “The first step to get justice is the impartiality of the investigating agencies. Now in the circumstances in which the case is being handed over to the CBI… many important evidences and evidence have either been destroyed or erased. Justice can be expected only on the basis of evidence and evidence… So what can the CBI do in this now? It would not be right to speculate from now on. If the CBI investigates and reaches the real culprit. Then we will be happy.”

‘They are running away from their responsibilities’

He clearly said that there has been no demand for a CBI inquiry from our side. On the recommendation made by the government for a CBI investigation, he said that we feel that they (Bihar government) are running away from their responsibilities. Why has the government not taken action against those who are guilty in the investigation so far, who tampered with the evidence and evidence? We demand that the tampering with evidence and evidence in this case and the officers guilty should be immediately punished.
