NEET-OG 2025, the biggest source of medical admissions for millions of students across the country, concluded peacefully on 4 May. The examination remained safe under the joint supervision of the Ministry of Education and the State Administration, but the pictures that came out after the examination have increased the concern of students and parents.
In fact, many students have complained of disturbances in the printing of paper and confusion in the order of questions. Especially from Sikar in Rajasthan and Jamnagar in Gujarat, such incidents have come to light, where the students with wrong order papers were handed over. For example, students with paper code 47 said that after question 7 in their paper, the direct question came to 15. Similarly, students with code 48 of Gujarati medium were also given booklets with jambal page.
Due to this disturbance, many students filled the shells with answers to the wrong questions or lost the precious time to understand what question to fill the correct answer. During the examination, when the students complained to the center staff about this, they got the answer “Solve the same as the paper.” Hearing this, the problems of the students increased further.
After the examination, the parents sent complaints to the NTA and the Government of Gujarat, with whom scan copies of wrong question papers were also attached. A parent wrote that the children had told the disturbances between the examination, but no one heard. A Gujarat official has confirmed that he has received such complaints. On the other hand, coaching experts and students also said that some questions were out of medical syllabus. Especially there is a controversy about the question number 38 of Code 47, in which calculus -based mathematical derivatives were asked, which usually comes in engineering exams like JEE (Main), not in medical.
NTA said this
However, a statement has come from NTA that all the questions have been asked under the prescribed syllabus. Answer key has been released and objections have also been called, which will be seen by the committee of subject experts. But this statement does not remove the troubles of those students who have been affected by the wrong printing and the entangled sequence of pages. This is not the technical mistake of the paper layout, not of content.
Demand for solution
Now the students and parents are demanding a clear and quick solution from the NTA, because the result of the examination is coming this month. More than 20 lakh students are dreaming of enrolling in MBBS, BDS and other medical courses through this exam, and in such a situation, the paper disturbances can have a direct impact on their future.
