What is NEET UG Counseling?
NEET UG counseling is the process through which medical students are allotted college in courses like MBBS and BDS. In this, the college is decided on the basis of availability of your rank, cut-off, category and seat.
NEET counseling takes place at two levels-
All India Kota (AIQ) – 15% for seats
State Kota – 85% for seats
All India Kota counseling the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) while separate state governments organize state quota through their portal.
These are the important steps to get MBBS and BDS seats
First of all, you have to register by visiting MCC or state medical website. You cannot participate in counseling without registration.
After registration, you have to give priority of college and course, that is, you have to make a list of which colleges you like.
The MCC or State Board allotted you a college based on your rank and choice.
If you get a college, then you will have to report in the stipulated time and show all the documents.

Why is affidavit necessary?
If you have not taken admission in two or more colleges, or you want to declare that you do not take MBBS/BDS seat first, then it is necessary to give affidavit. Through this, you take an oath that the information given is correct and you will be responsible for any wrong information. Affidavit is made on stamp paper and has to be signed with a notary. In this, there is information about the student’s name, father’s name, roll number, counseling round etc.
