Jamia Millia Islamia, one of the renowned educational institutions of the country, has taken a new initiative for the students. The Civil Engineering Department of the University has started B.Tech. from the academic session 2026-27. It has been announced to start a new course named Civil Engineering (Construction Technology). Talking about admission, admission in this course can be done only through JEE exam.
This course has been specially designed for those students who want to move forward with modern technology in the construction field. The university has clarified that interested candidates will have to visit the official admission portal admission.jmi.ac.in and fill a separate application form.
Why was this new course started?
In today’s time, the method of construction is changing rapidly. New machines, new technology and digital methods are making this sector better. In such a situation, Jamia has taken this step so that students are not limited to just books, but they also get real work experience.
This course will give students an opportunity to understand new technologies related to construction and use them in work. Along with studies, they will also be taught practical work, so that they can be completely prepared for the industry.
The method of study will be different
This program will not be limited to theory only. The curriculum has been designed as per the standards of the country and abroad. Students will get a chance to work in modern lab.
