New BJP President: From Atal Bihari Vajpayee to JP Nadda… Nitin Nabin will be the first president born after the establishment of BJP.

BJP has handed over the announcement of its new but working national president to Bihar PWD Minister Nitin Nabin. Nitin Nabin is currently 45 years old. He is the first president who has become president at such a young age. Nitin Nabin is going to be the first national president who was born after the foundation day of BJP. Before this, all the national presidents were born before the establishment of BJP. BJP was established on 6 April 1980 and Nitin Nabin was born on 1 September 1980.

Nitin Nabin will be the 15th president of the party

After the establishment of BJP, Atal Bihari Vajpayee became the first president in 1980. After him, LK Advani became the second president in 1986. Murli Manohar Joshi became the third president in 1991. LK Advani became the fourth president in 1993. Kushabhau Thackeray became the fifth president in 1998. Bangaru Laxman became the sixth president in 2000.

After Bangaru Laxman, Jan Krishnamurthy got the responsibility in 2001. After him, Venkaiah Naidu became the president in 2002. In 2004, LK Advani once again took over the reins of the party. Rajnath Singh was made the president in 2005. Nitin Gadkari became the president at number 11 in 2009. After him, the responsibility was once again handed over to Rajnath Singh. After him Amit Shah got the command of the party. JP Nadda was made the party president at number 14 in 2020. Now the responsibility as the 15th president has been handed over to Nitin Nabin Sinha.

What does the National President of BJP do?

BJP National President is the chief executive of BJP. His responsibility is to preside over the meetings of the National Executive of the party. He plays a role in appointing the party’s subsidiary organizations including the Youth Wing and the Farmers Wing. For the post of President, any candidate is required to be associated with the party for 15 years. The election for the post of President is done by the electoral college formed from the national and state councils of the party. No member can hold this post for more than two terms.
