Asit Modi spoke about Dayaben in a recent interview. He has said that now he is going to bring new Dayaben in the show. Recently, the photo went viral while celebrating Rakshabandhan of Asit Modi and Disha Vakani. On which Asit Modi reacted. Asit Modi spoke in a conversation with the Times of India.
Did not replace them for a long time
Asit Modi said- ‘People often question me about this. To be honest, I have not said this till date, but now I am saying that when Disha Wakani left the show in 2017, I was very upset. Dayaben is also a very important character of the show along with Jethalal. His style and the way of speaking had become popular all over the country, so I did not think of replacing him for a long time.
I will bring new pity
Asit Modi further said- ‘I and direction share a very good relationship. There is no estrangement between us. I would like to work with them again. After she left, I was hopeful and praying that she would come back. However, she chose to focus on her family and became a mother. When she became a mother again at the time of epidemic, I realized that it is not easy for her to come back. We are in touch and recently celebrated Rakshabandhan. Asit admitted that he is looking for Dayaben’s replacement since 2022-23. He said- ‘Our show has recently completed 17 years. Now the water has gone over the head and this is hightime to bring the new mercy back in the show.
