Pakistan Hockey News: A new controversy has erupted in Pakistan. Pakistan hockey team captain Shakeel Ammad Butt had made serious allegations against PHF (Pakistan Hockey Federation) after returning from Australia tour. This matter has taken a serious turn because PHF President Tariq Bugti has suddenly resigned from his post. He has submitted his resignation letter to Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, who is also the Patron-in-Chief of Pakistan Hockey Association.
After returning from the Australian tour, Pakistan team captain Shakeel Ammad Butt made a shocking revelation that how the players themselves had to clean the kitchen and wash the utensils. He also told that when the team reached the hotel, the hotel management told that they had not received the payment. Therefore, until arrangements for accommodation were made, the players had to wander like this. Whereas the Pakistan hockey team had to spend 13-14 hours at Sydney Airport.
After all these allegations, Tariq Bugti has resigned from the post of President of PHF. Apart from Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, he appealed to Field Marshal Asim Munir and said that an impartial investigation should be conducted into whatever allegations have been made.
Let us remind you that in the Australian leg of FIH Pro League, Pakistan team had to lose both its matches against Australia and Germany. On the other hand, Pakistan Sports Board has said that it had allocated more than Rs 10 million to Pakistan Hockey Association for the arrangements in Australia. PM Shahbaz Sharif has ordered an investigation into this entire matter.
