NHAI toll plaza signage board: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) on Friday has started providing information through signage boards at toll plazas to provide information to the people in a more transparent manner. Under this, now complete information about local monthly pass and annual pass will be shown at every toll plaza. NHAI said that the purpose of this step is to spread awareness among the people.
So that they can get information from where these passes are made and what is their price and the process of making them. All this information has been posted through signage boards at the entry gate of the toll plaza, entry and exit points of the customer service center. So that all the people passing by can see it with increased ease.
NHAI gave information
NHAI has informed that this step will increase awareness among the people regarding local monthly pass and annual pass. These signage boards will be displayed by NHAI in Hindi and local languages.
Also, NHAI has instructed all its regional offices that these boards should be installed at toll plazas within 30 days. Also, clear information should be visible in it both during the day and night. NHAI will also upload this information on Highway Yatra mobile application and NHAI related project websites.
What is Monthly Local Pass and Annual Pass?
Monthly local pass is applicable for those who live within 20 kilometers (or fixed distance) of any toll plaza and travel daily in their personal vehicle. They can get monthly local passes made. To get the pass, they will have to provide their Aadhar card, vehicle registration certificate and proof of local residence. After which your monthly pass will be generated from the toll plaza helpdesk.
Whereas, for the annual pass you will have to make a one time payment of Rs 3000. You can buy annual pass through Highway Yatra app, Fastag recharge. Under the annual pass, you can cross the toll plaza 200 times in a year. Annual pass is available only for private vehicles.
