Sanjay Malhotra took over as the 26th Governor of the Reserve Bank of India for a three -year term on December 11, 2024. According to the provisions of the RBI Act, 1934, all the notes issued by the Reserve Bank will be fully valid for transactions in India until the withdrawal is withdrawn.
