Now the release date of ‘Gabru’ changed
Earlier ‘Gabru’ was to be released on 13 March 2026 but now its release date has been extended. According to the report of Variety India, Sunny Deol’s next theatrical release ‘Gabru’ will now hit the theaters on May 8, 2026. This film is directed by Shashank Udapurkar while it is produced by Vishal Rana and Om Chhangani.

Sunny Deol’s emotional avatar will be seen in the film
Sunny Deol will be seen in the role of a middle age family man in ‘Gabru’. The story is about a person whose life changes after some sudden circumstances. Through these incidents, he re-identifies himself and learns to live life from a new perspective. This role is said to be quite different from Sunny Deol’s action image till now.

There will be a direct clash at the box office
With the new release date, ‘Gabru’ will compete at the box office with Ananya Pandey and Lakshya starrer ‘Chand Mera Dil’, which is expected to be released on the same day i.e. on 8th May. Variety India told that if a source is to be believed, ‘Gabru’ is not just another film for Sunny Deol but a heart-related story in which issues like courage, identity and passion are shown.

Sunny Deol’s calendar is full of films
Recently, while talking to ANI, Sunny Deol had also said that ‘Gabru’ is very close to his heart. Along with Sunny Deol, Simran and Preet Kamani will also be seen in important roles in this film. The music of the film has been given by Mithun and the lyrics have been written by Saeed Qadri, Satinder Sartaj and Anurag Saikia. After ‘Gabru’, Sunny Deol will be seen in ‘Lahore 1947’ which will be released on Independence Day weekend this year. Apart from this, he will also be seen in Nitesh Tiwari’s mega film ‘Ramayana’ and Netflix’s action thriller ‘Ikka’.
