ICC Big Decision: There is going to be a big change in the rules of cricket. Changes in the rules of sports in ODI and T20 will be seen from July. This change is going to happen in ODI international cricket from July 2 and in T20 cricket from 10 July. ICC is trying to balance the rules of the game by changing the rules of the game. The new rules in Test cricket have come into force from Bangladesh-Sri Lanka series, which started on Tuesday, June 17, today. At the same time, the next international series between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka is starting on July 2 in ODIs and the T20 series will also be between these two countries from July 10, since then new rules will be included.

There will be a big change in ODI cricket

The ICC has made this change for Mains cricket only. In the same innings of the ODI match, two balls were used from the first over to the 50th over, but now it will not happen from July 2. Now after the 34th over in the match, only one ball will remain, which the bowling team can choose accordingly. On the other hand, if the game remains 25 overs instead of 50 for some reason, then only one ball of an innings will be given at the beginning of the game.

New rule of replacement

According to the new ICC rules, the team will have to give information about their substitute players before the game starts. If a player of a team is injured, then the same substitute player will come in his place, whose name must have already been done to the umpire. Both teams of the game can tell five players for five positions.

  • One wicketkeeper
  • A batsman
  • A fast bowler
  • A spin bowler
  • An all -rounder

According to this new rule, if a sharp gangbaz in the team goes out of the game after injury, then another fast bowler will come in the match. No all -rounder will be brought into the team instead of that player. If the replaced player is also injured or will not be in a position to play, then the same player can enter the field instead, for which the umpire will allow.
