Controversy over release

Actually, Hussain Ustara’s daughter Sanobar Shaikh filed a petition in the court to ban the release of the film. He says that Shahid Kapoor’s character Hussain ‘Ustra’ Sheikh in the film is inspired by his father. He says that his father has been portrayed wrongly in the film. However, Vishal Bhardwaj and Hussain Zaidi have already clarified that the film is not inspired by the biography of Hussain ‘Ustara’ Shaikh, but is an artistic story, part of which is inspired by his story but the characters are fictional.
