Now the Delhi government has also given a big update regarding the ration card. Actually, the Delhi government is going to verify ration card holders. Under this, ration cards of those people will be canceled, who do not fall in the BPL category or who have died. In such a situation, you will have to give a certificate of living, if you do not get the facilities available on the ration card.
Delhi has not been verified for 12 years
According to the rules, there should be verification and renewal of ration cards every five years. Under this, new people are added to the ration card and ineligible people are removed. However, since the formation of Aam Aadmi Party government in 2013, there has not been a verification of ration cards in Delhi and since then many applications of ration cards have been pending. Ration cards are now being verified to form a BJP government in Delhi, in which many ration cards will be canceled and new ration cards will be added.
The ration card of these people will be canceled
According to the officers, during verification, ration cards of those people who only have ration cards for residence certificate or those who have got government jobs or have increased their income. It will also include people who have died after 2013. During verification, such people will be investigated and ration cards will be removed. Let me tell you, according to the official data, there are currently 1778372 ration card holders in Delhi. Among them, Aay holders are 68,708 and PHH holders are 17,09,664.
