Bank Holiday Next Week: Tomorrow i.e. the second week of February is going to start from 9th February. In this entire week, banks are going to remain closed only for two days in the entire country. Banks will remain closed on 14th February being Saturday (second Saturday of the month) and 15th February being Sunday.

The Reserve Bank of India has released a list of about nine holidays for all government and private banks including State Bank of India (SBI) this month. This includes weekend holidays of second Saturday, fourth Saturday and all Sundays. Unless any public or regional holiday is declared, banks remain open on the first, third and fifth Saturday of every month.

Bank holidays next week

  • 14th February – Due to second Saturday, there will be bank holiday all over India.
  • 15 February – Banks will remain closed due to Sunday holiday.

In some parts of the country, banks remain closed on the occasion of Mahashahvaratri, which will be celebrated this time on 15th February. Since this time 15th February is falling on Sunday, banks will not be closed separately. In the states, bank holidays are closed according to regional and local festivals or needs, hence it is important to check the complete list or schedule of holidays from the local bank branch. Having information ahead of time will help you be prepared for emergencies or long weekends. However, you can continue to use online or mobile banking services during bank holidays.

You can withdraw cash from ATM. App and UPI will also remain operational. The calendar of bank holidays for the year is declared by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) under the provisions of the Negotiable Instruments Act.

  • 1 February – Banks will remain closed due to Sunday holiday.
  • 8th February – Sunday will be a holiday.
  • 14 February- Due to the second Saturday, banks will remain closed across the country.
  • 15th February- Since it is Sunday, banks are going to remain closed on this day.
  • February 18 – There will be bank holiday in Gangtok, Sikkim for Losar.
  • 19 February – Bank holiday in Mumbai, Nagpur and Belapur, Maharashtra on the occasion of birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
  • February 20 – Sitting in Aizawl (Mizoram), Imphal (Manipur) due to State Foundation Day celebrations.
  • 22 February – Banks will remain closed on Sunday.
  • 28 February – There will be a holiday in banks on the fourth Saturday.
