New zealand earthquake: On Tuesday (March 25), a 7 -magnitude powerful earthquake was recorded on New Zealand’s Reversity coast. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) shared the information of this earthquake through a post on X (East Twitter). The earthquake shock was felt 159 km west-west-south-west (WSW) (WSW). Its center was at a depth of 10 kilometers (6.21 mi) from the ground.
At present, there is no report of damage caused by earthquake. However, tremors in the area would have been felt by the earthquake of such intensity. New Zealand Earthquake comes in a sensitive area, where such incidents are often seen. The concerned officials are monitoring the situation and preparations are being made for possible afterchox.
