In the third ODI, New Zealand batted first and scored 337 runs. This is the highest ODI score made by a foreign team at Holkar Stadium in Indore. On the basis of century innings of Daryl Mitchell and Glenn Phillips, the Kiwi batsmen made the Indian bowling line-up cry. Mitchell played his second consecutive century in the series and scored 137 runs.
Will Young, who had scored a half-century in the last match, could not do anything special this time and was out after scoring 30 runs. But Daryl Mitchell and Glenn Phillips made a record partnership of 219 runs and took their team beyond 300. Mitchell scored 137 runs and Phillips scored 106 runs.

Harshit-Kuldeep beaten severely
Kuldeep Yadav had given away 82 runs in the second ODI match played in Rajkot. Now no improvement has been seen in his performance even in Indore, where he gave away 48 runs in 6 overs. Like every time, Harshit Rana performed wonders with the new ball and was successful in taking the wickets of Devon Conway and Will Young. He took a total of 3 wickets in this match, but gave away 84 runs in 10 overs.
Mohammad Siraj was the only bowler for India who gave runs at an economy rate of less than 6. He gave only 43 runs in 10 overs and also took one wicket.
