Newzealand legendary player sophie devine announced retirement: This year, the process of retirement of cricket veterans is not stopping. At the same time, New Zealand veteran all -rounder Sophie Divine has also announced to retire from ODI cricket. This decision of Divine came before the announcement of the 17 -member Central Contract List by New Zealand Cricket. The players included in the Central Contract List will be announced on Wednesday. Divine will not be included in the central contract. Divine has chosen a casual playing agreement. Under which she will not be included in the contract. But she will be seen playing for the team.

What did Divine say about retirement?

Divine’s ODI career has been excellent. He has scored 3990 runs in 152 ODIs at an average of 31.66. He has scored 8 centuries in this format. Along with this, Divine has also taken 107 wickets in ODI cricket. Divine said on the retirement decision, “I think this is the right time for me to decide. I consider myself lucky that New Zealand Cricket helped me reach this decision.”

Steve Smith, Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Heinrich Klassen have retired from ODI cricket. Recently, Nicholas Puran retired from international cricket.
