On Thursday (March 19, 2026), there was an Iftar party at the place of Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi in Patna. Nitish Kumar also reached here. Many big leaders of NDA had arrived. While talking to the media on this occasion, Jitan Ram Manjhi gave his statement regarding the next Chief Minister of Bihar.

Journalists asked whether you think Samrat Chaudhary will become the Chief Minister? Nitish Kumar is indicating again and again. On this, Jitan Ram Manjhi said, “Nitish Kumar ji is a very transparent man… He does whatever he thinks in his mind. He does not say what he thinks about anyone… But if he is giving such a hint, then it should be assumed that he will not step back from it. We also understand that it seems that Samrat Chaudhary ji can be the desired person of Nitish Kumar for CM…” In a way, by giving such an answer, Manjhi has given his consent for Samrat Chaudhary.
Manjhi praised Nishant Kumar a lot
On a question that the pairing of Nishant Kumar and Samrat Chaudhary is visible these days. Will Nishant Kumar be the Deputy CM? On this, Manjhi told the media, Nishant ji is a new comer in politics… he is a tolerant man… just now we saw… when he came here (in Iftar), he greeted everyone… this is a very good thing… whatever responsibility will be given to him, we think he will discharge it well.”
