Janata Dal (United) national president Nitish Kumar took oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar for a record 10th time at the historic Gandhi Maidan in Patna on Thursday (20 November). Along with him, Governor Arif Mohammad Khan administered the oath of office and secrecy to 26 leaders. The ministers include 14 leaders from BJP, 8 from JDU, two from LJP and one each from Hum-RLM.

List of BJP leaders who became ministers-
Samrat Chaudhary, Vijay Sinha, Lakhendra Kumar Roshan, Shreyasi Singh, Pramod Kumar, Sanjay Singh Tiger, Arun Shankar Prasad, Surendra Mehta, Narayan Prasad, Rama Nishad, Nitin Naveen, Ramkripal Yadav, Mangal Pandey, Dilip Jaiswal.

Mohammad Jama Khan, Lacey Singh, Madan Sahni, Vijay Chaudhary, Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Shravan Kumar, Ashok Chaudhary and Sunil Kumar.

Sanjay Kumar Singh and Sanjay Kumar. Deepak Prakash of RLM and Santosh Suman of HAM have become ministers.

Who are the family ministers?
Samrat Chaudhary- is the son of senior leader Shakuni Chaudhary.
Shreyasi Singh- Daughter of late former Union Minister Digvijay Singh.
Ashok Chaudhary- is the son of senior Congress leader Mahavir Chaudhary.
Vijay Chaudhary- Father Jagdish Prasad was a Congressman and also an MLA.
Lacey Singh- Husband was Bhutan Singh, leader of Samata Party.
Nitin Nabin- Nabin is the son of Sinha, former MLA.
Santosh Suman- Jitan is the son of Ram Manjhi.
Rama Nishad- Ajay Nishad’s wife, daughter-in-law of former MP Captain Jayanarayan Nishad.
Deepak Prakash- is the son of Upendra Kushwaha, his mother has also been elected MLA.

Those leaders who were ministers in the previous government did not become ministers this time.

Who is the richest minister?
Rama Nishad is the richest. His wealth is around Rs 31 crore.

How many women ministers?
Shreyasi Singh, Lacey Singh and Rama Nishad have become three women ministers.

Only minority minister has got a place in Nitish cabinet. Nitish Kumar has made Jama Khan a minister.

Who is the most and least educated minister?
Ashok Chaudhary, Dilip Jaiswal and Santosh Suman have done PhD. Narayaran Prasad has the least 10th pass.

youngest minister
Shreyasi Singh, the youngest in the cabinet, is 34 years old. Talking about the average age, it is around 56 years.

Which ones are spotless?

There are 14 ministers in the new cabinet who do not have any criminal cases against them. These include Vijay Sinha, Lakhendra Kumar Roshan, Shreyasi Singh, Sanjay Kumar, Deepak Prakash, Sanjay Singh Tiger, Surendra Mehta, Narayan Prasad, Lacey Singh, Sunil Kumar, Vijay Chaudhary, Vijendra Prasad Yadav and Shravan Kumar. Maximum 5 cases are registered against Nitin Nabin.

Talking about caste, 8 upper castes, 8 OBC, 5 EBC, 5 Dalit and one Muslim have got representation. These include 4 Rajputs, 2 Bhumihars, one Brahmin, one Kayastha, two Yadavs, two Kushwaha, two Kurmi, two Vaishya. Whereas 5 SCs include one each Pasi, Musahar, Ravidas and two Paswans. In EBC, one minister each from Kahar, Mallah, Nishad, Dhanuk and Teli communities has been made.

What did MY (Muslim-Yadav) get?

The Muslim population in the state is about 17 percent and the Yadav population is 14 percent. Two Yadav and one Muslim leaders have become ministers. Rajput is 3.45 percent, Brahmin is 3.66 percent, Bhumihar is 2.86 percent, Kushwaha is 4.27 percent, Kurmi is 2.88 percent, SC is 19.65 percent and others are 31.27 percent.
