JDU symbol is being handed over to the candidates for Bihar Assembly elections. According to sources, symbols are being given to potential JDU candidates in the CM residence. If sources are to be believed, swapping of seats has also started. The party has given ticket to JDU MLA and Minister Ratnesh Sada from Sonbarsa seat. There was talk of Sonbarsa seat going to Chirag’s account.

This is an indication that JDU has taken the final decision regarding the candidates at its level. Till now the party has not released the formal list of candidates.
JDU’s focus on improving past performance
Let us tell you that under seat sharing, this time JDU will field candidates on 101 seats in Bihar Assembly elections. JDU’s ally BJP will also field its candidates on the same number of seats. JDU is trying to ensure that this time the results are better than the performance in the last elections.
How many seats did JDU win last time?
In the 2020 assembly elections, JDU had fielded candidates on 115 seats but the party won only 43 seats. The party’s vote share was 15.39 percent. Whereas BJP had announced candidates on 110 seats and 74 of its candidates were successful in winning.
It is noteworthy that this time elections will be held in two phases for a total of 243 assembly seats in Bihar. In the first phase, voting will be held on 121 seats on 6 November. The second phase of voting will be held on November 11 in which people will exercise their franchise on the remaining 122 seats. Who will rule Bihar will be decided on November 14 when the votes will be counted.
