The results of Bihar Assembly have once again proved that as long as Nitish Kumar is active in politics, it is not so easy to defeat him. Nitish Kumar, whom the leaders of the opposition Grand Alliance had described as mentally ill, was defeated in such a way that Tejashwi Yadav lost his temper. This time, double ‘M’ has proved to be a big X factor in the election strategy adopted by Nitish.

Which move did Nitish play?
Double ‘M’ has played a big role in the return of NDA in Bihar. Nitish Kumar had understood the importance of this factor long ago, the result of which was prohibition of liquor in Bihar. The effect of this decision was that to strengthen his ‘M’ factor, Nitish launched the Women’s Employment Scheme and a woman from the family was given Rs 10,000 each to start a business. When their initial business is successful, they will be given further assistance of up to Rs 2 lakh.

Has Nitish gone one step ahead of BJP?
If we look at the last few elections, women are voting more than men. This election is also being said to be no different. BJP had adopted the formula in many states, including Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Haryana, where money was deposited in the accounts of women before the elections. Nitish went one step further on this formula of BJP and deposited Rs 10,000 in the accounts of women at once. His decision distanced the women of the state from Lalu’s lantern and shattered Tejashwi’s dreams of becoming the CM.

Not only this, it is also being said that Nitish Kumar has also weakened the second ‘M’ factor of RJD i.e. Muslims. At some places, Muslims got away from RJD by voting and they went to JDU’s account, that is, RJD has got a double blow of ‘M’. On one hand women stayed away and on the other hand Muslims also stayed away.

Nitish had started his move 20 years ago!
When Nitish became the Chief Minister of Bihar for the first time in 2005, he started keeping an eye on his vote bank and started strengthening his ‘M’ factor to counter the ‘M’ factor of RJD. For the first time, only after forming the government, he started the scheme of giving bicycles to school going girls. After this, he started liquor ban in the state in the year 2016, which was also criticized a lot.

When Nitish started feeling that the effect of prohibition was beginning to reduce, he implemented 50 percent reservation for women in local bodies. Apart from this, 35 percent reservation was given in government jobs. His move turned women away from RJD and Congress and now just before the elections, his move to give Rs 10,000 each in women’s accounts has worked wonders. Although Tejashwi Yadav had also promised to give 30-30 thousand rupees in the accounts of women after the formation of the government, but the women expressed their trust only on Nitish Kumar.

Which party got how many seats?

BJP has won 89 seats and JDU has won 85 seats, while RJD has won 25 seats and Chirag Paswan’s party has won 19 seats. The worst situation has happened to Congress, which has been able to win only six seats. The left parties have also been wiped out. However, Owaisi’s party AIMIM has repeated its old performance. Jitan Ram Manjhi’s party has won five seats, Upendra Kushwaha’s party four, left parties together have won four seats.
