There was chaos due to a sudden fire in a factory of Capital Company located in Sector-4, Noida, at around 5 am on Thursday (12 March). As soon as the fire broke out, the people present inside the factory started coming out to save their lives. The people present nearby together helped in getting many people out.
According to eyewitnesses, after the fire the situation became very scary and a stampede-like atmosphere was created everywhere. After the information, fire department vehicles reached the spot. The work of making electricity meters is done in the factory.
People present at the spot say that when people inside were trying to get out, many people were taken out by holding hands and with support. During this chaos, many people got injured. Some’s arms and legs were broken and some suffered serious injuries.
People told that many people had become unconscious due to fire and smoke, and the people nearby together brought them out. It took a lot of effort to bring down some of the injured.
4 people are in critical condition
According to local people, the condition of at least 4 of the injured is said to be very serious. These people are not in a position to walk. Someone’s knee is broken, while someone else’s body is deeply injured. It has also been reported that some people are having difficulty in breathing.
The injured were brought down to a safe place with the help of people. Many people are also getting information about being sent to the hospital for first aid.
Fear of people being trapped on the floor below
Eyewitnesses say that at present no person is seen trapped in the upper part of the factory, but clear information has not been received yet about how many people are there in the lower floor.
According to people, as many people as possible have been evacuated, but there is still a possibility that some people may be trapped inside.
No confirmation of death at this time
After the incident a huge crowd has gathered in the area. People say that no death has been confirmed yet nor has any dead person been taken out. However, many people were found unconscious, who were taken out and sent for treatment.
At present, the reason for the fire has not been known. Relief and rescue work is going on and the administration team is keeping an eye on the situation.
