A big deal has been signed between India and America for the Tejas light combat aircraft program. Under the deal, America will provide 113 GE-404 engines to India. Now Pakistan is in tension regarding the deal and it is facing a lot of trouble due to this deal. Pakistani expert Qamar Cheema has taunted about the deal and asked whether India will be able to get these engines because last time America had refused to give them due to Covid. On these questions, Colonel (retired) Shailendra Singh of the Indian Army has given him a befitting reply.
Qamar Cheema had questioned that 113 US engine fighter jets are coming for Tejas. This deal was done earlier also, but America did not provide these jets then. He said that India’s MiG-21 fighter jets have been retired. How worried is India at this time because in the recent war, Pakistan shot down Indian ships, Rafale was a big jet, so the question is whether the Indian government is under any pressure.
Qamar Cheema asked Colonel Shailendra Singh, ‘So do you think that the Indian Air Force is under pressure because the engines were not received earlier, MiG-21s were retired, some jets were shot, so what do you think about this and do you think that America will give the engines to India this time?’
Colonel Shailendra Singh said in response, ‘Five years ago America did not send those 99 engines because of Covid and you yourself have said this. It may be your heartfelt wish that those 113 engines should not be sent to India, but 5 engines have already arrived. He is on trial, I don’t understand where your problem is. Defense deal is happening between India and America. Pakistan doesn’t know why it is hurting its stomach as to why the deal is happening, it will not happen. This is negative thinking and it is created so much in your society since childhood that you think negative about everything.
The Colonel said to Qamar Cheema, ‘Let me give you a good news. This is GE-404 engine, it is only worth 1 billion dollars, we are also doing some work of 1.5 billion dollars and that is GE-414 engine, there is talk of 200 rupees on top of that and that will definitely be finalized. There is another good news for you that there is talk of making similar Make in India engines. America will transfer 80 percent technology.
Colonel Shailendra Singh told the Pakistani experts that you should bring maturity among the people of Pakistan that when a ship retires, it takes not 1-2 years but five years to bring it back, and you should do future planning for it.
