This batsman was none other than South African legend Herschelle Gibbs. 19 years ago on this day i.e. March 16, 2007, Gibbs had done the miracle of hitting 6 sixes in an ODI against Netherlands. The African batsman had hit 6 consecutive sixes against leg spinner Dan van Bunge.

The match was played for 40-40 overs. The African team, which came to bat first in the match, had put 353/3 runs on the board. Jacques Kallis played the biggest innings for the team, scoring 128 runs in 109 balls with the help of 11 fours and 5 sixes.
