The dream of flying airplanes will no longer be limited to science students. There is going to be a big change in the rules of becoming a pilot in India. DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) has now recommended such a recommendation that students of Arts and Commerce will also be able to train commercial pilot license (CPL). Till now, this opportunity used to get only those students who have read Physics and Maths in 12th.
DGCA has sent this recommendation to the Ministry of Civil Aviation. After getting approval from the Ministry, this proposal will go to the Law Ministry, which will notify it. Only then this new rule will apply. After changing the rules, whatever 12th pass student will pass medical fitness and other tests, it will be considered eligible to become a pilot.
There will be change after 30 years
Since the mid -1990s, CPL training in India was only for students of science stream. Earlier, only 10th pass was enough. Many senior pilots have described it as an old and useless rule. He believes that the pilot needs the physics and maths, it gets it only in the early years of the school. For this reason, in the last few years, thousands of arts and commerce students had to take the examination of Physics and Maths from Open School, so that they could take CPL training.
