Now controversy over ‘Bombay Dhaba’ in Mumbai, Raj Thackeray stopped the car on the highway after seeing the name, MNS workers broke the board

Once again the politics of name is gaining momentum in Maharashtra. This time the matter is not about Hindi-Marathi or Urdu but about the old name of Mumbai city. In fact, a controversy has once again arisen regarding ‘Bombay Dhaba’ on the Mumbai-Nashik National Highway in Bhiwandi.

When Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) President Raj Thackeray’s eyes fell on ‘Bombay Dhaba’, he objected to the name of this Dhaba being ‘Bombay’.

On the instructions of Raj Thackeray, MNS workers created vandalism

Raj Thackeray was going from Kalyan towards Bhiwandi during the election campaign. During this time he saw that the name of ‘Bombay Dhaba’ was still on a dhaba. On his orders, MNS workers immediately reached there and tore the name plate of the dhaba and put pressure on the dhaba owner to change the name.

Dhaba owner will change name in 8 days

MNS workers said that this name is against the identity of Maharashtra and Mumbai. After the incident, the dhaba owner has said that he will change the name within eight days. The incident took place during the campaign for the municipal elections, in which politics was heated over the issues of Marathi identity and local identity.

Raj Thackeray is continuously raising the issue of ‘Marathi identity’

Amidst the municipal elections, Raj Thackeray has claimed that Marathi identity is in danger because of BJP. MNS President says that if BJP takes control of Municipal Corporations then Marathi Manus will not be able to do anything. Therefore, it is necessary to control the municipal bodies like Mumbai, Thane, Mira-Bhayandar, Nashik and Pune-Thane etc.

Raj Thackeray also alleged that efforts are being made to separate Mumbai from Maharashtra. Just as earlier Gujarat wanted to make Mumbai its part, a similar situation is being created today. Therefore it is important for us to set limits.
