Let us tell you that Hrithik had already been Farhan Akhtar’s first choice for ‘Don’. However, later Shahrukh Khan won and became a don. Now after 19 years, Hrithik’s name is in discussion again.
Hrithik approached for ‘Don 3’
According to the report of Filmfare, the makers are considering making ‘War 2’ actor Hrithik Roshan the new face of the ‘Don’ franchise. The report quoted sources as saying that after Ranveer Singh’s exit, Hrithik has emerged as a strong contender for this role. However, the talks are still in the initial stages.
Hrithik’s name was in discussion earlier also
Even before this, Hrithik’s name has come up for this film many times. But till now the matter has not been resolved between the actor and the makers. In an interview given to Filmfare in 2006, Farhan had said that he wanted to do ‘Don’ not with Shahrukh Khan but with Hrithik Roshan. Farhan Akhtar had told that when he decided to remake Amitabh Bachchan’s classic film Don, his choice for this role was Hrithik Roshan.
Farhan Akhtar started working on the script of ‘Don’ keeping Hrithik in mind. But after the script was completed, he realized that a mature actor was needed for this role, after which he chose Shahrukh Khan.
