Former cricketers Pragyan Ojha and RP Singh have joined the selection committee of the men’s national team. During the annual general meeting (AGM) of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (AGM), it was also decided that no under-16 players could play the IPL until they have represented their kingdom in the Ranji Trophy for at least one match. Mithun Manhas has been elected unopposed BCCI President along with other officials.

Amita Sharma of Delhi has been appointed as the chairman of the Women’s Selection Committee, while Sulakshana Naik of Mumbai and Shravanti Naidu of Hyderabad will also join it. The Mahila Samiti also includes Shyama Dey and Jaya Sharma. Meanwhile, S. Sharat has been appointed as the chairman of the junior selection panel. Sharat was part of the senior panel from 2023.

RP Singh’s cricket career

Former fast bowler Rudra Pratap Singh played cricket for India for many years in all three formats. He played 14 Tests, 58 ODIs and 10 T20 International matches for Team India. In this, his names were 40, 69 and 15 wickets respectively. He was part of the 2007 T20 World Cup winning team.

Apart from this, he played 94 First Class, List A 136 and 132 T20 matches. RP Singh, 39, played his last international match in 2011. He is currently seen in the commentary. And now we will play an important role in the selection of Team India.

Pragyan Ojha Cricket Career

Pragyan Ojha has also played cricket in all three formats for India. He made his international debut in 2008 and played the last international match in 2013. Spin bowler Ojha took 24 Tests, 18 ODIs and 6 T20 wickets for India respectively. Ojha took 424 wickets in 108 first class matches. Apart from this, he took 123 wickets in 103 matches of List A and 156 wickets in 143 T20 matches.
