Trump Tariff: US President Donald Trump has announced 19 percent tariff on Indonesia on Tuesday. That is, the goods sent from Indonesia to America will now be charged a fee of 19 percent. Whereas there will be no tax on exports from America to Indonesia.
Indonesia will buy these things from America
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said that he has talked to Indonesian President Prabovo Subiano about the removal of business obstacles for American imports over phone. He also agreed that his country would buy sufficient quantity of American products. Trump wrote, “Under the agreement, Indonesia has committed to buy $ 15 billion energy from the US, $ 4.5 billion agricultural products and 50 boing jets.” He further said that American farmers, cattle rearers and fishermen will now get tariff free access to consumer market with 280 million people in Indonesia.
America will get full access in India
Along with this, Trump also indicated close to the trade deal with India. He said that America is close to getting full trade access in India too. “We are going to get access to India as well. And you have to understand that we could not reach there in any of these countries. Our people could not go there. Now we are getting access due to the tariff.”
Trump raging on BRICS countries
Trump is targeting BRICS countries these days. The BRICS faction includes Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, United Arab Emirates and Indonesia. Recently, on July 6 and 7, BRICS countries met at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also participated in it. BRICS currency was discussed in the meeting.
BRICS countries want a shared currency to reduce the dependence on US dollar, so that they are able to trade and until the matter is made on the BRICS currency, then there is a business in mutual currency. Trump is irritated by this. Six months before today, when BRICS countries challenged the dollar and announced BRICS currency, Trump had threatened to impose 100 % tariffs on these countries.
