This decision has been approved in the cabinet.
According to the information, apart from the Legislative Pool, senior MLAs will also be allotted bungalows from the Central Pool. Apart from the Central Pool, the Minister, Assembly Speaker/Deputy Speaker, Legislative Council Chairman and Deputy Chairman will also get bungalows from the Legislative Pool. For the second bungalow, you will have to pay rent of Rs 1700 per month, which is very cheap. The government’s argument is that there are many ministers who are also MLAs and the use of MLA residence is necessary for activities related to their assembly constituency.

At the same time, this decision is being considered to please those senior MLAs who did not become ministers. The opposition is raising questions on this decision. BJP spokesperson Kuntal Krishna giving a round answer said that there are many such honorable people who have become MLAs many times. He is a former minister and a member of committees. Such an honorable person needs bigger spaces for his practical reasons. They are also being given a separate bungalow, but rent will be charged. The decision is for the public interest.
