Shahid Kapoor’s latest film ‘O Romeo’ is performing well at the box office. Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film hit the theaters on February 13 with decent expectations and the romantic drama received a mixed response from both critics and audiences. After this, it has earned with ups and downs in the first week. Now after reaching the second week, a decline is being seen in its collection. How much did ‘O Romeo’ collect on the 12th day?
There were a lot of expectations from Shahid Kapoor and Trupti Dimri starrer ‘O Romeo’. However, it could not make a splash at the box office. The acting of the star cast of the film impressed people but it missed out on achieving big numbers at the box office. After opening with Rs 8.5 crores, it earned double digits only on the second day and collected Rs 12.65 crores. Since then this film is earning only in single digits. Even in the second week it is not able to earn even Rs 2 crore. However, after the decline on the second Monday, there was a slight increase in its collections on the second Tuesday.
- Talking about the collection of the film, O Romeo had earned Rs 47.1 crore in the first week. After this it collected 2.15 crores on 8th day, 3.4 crores on 9th day, 3.15 crores on 10th day and 1.6 crores on 11th day.
- According to the early trend report of Saknilk, O Romeo has collected Rs 1.65 crore on the 12th day of its release i.e. second Tuesday.
- With this, the total earning of 12 days of O Romeo has now become Rs 59.05 crore.
‘O Romeo’ could not recover half the cost even after 12 days
There was a slight increase in the earnings of ‘O Romeo’ on the second Tuesday but this is not proving to be beneficial for the film at all. Actually the budget of this film is said to be Rs 130 to 150 crores. In such a situation, this film has been able to collect only around Rs 60 crores in 12 days. In such a situation, it has not recovered even half its cost. Considering the slow pace of the film, it is difficult to recover its budget. Now it remains to be seen how much business this film can do by the third weekend.
