The name of this person is Kanhaiyalal Khatik, who is from Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. Kanhaiyalal Khatik roams around wearing 3 to 3.5 kg of gold every day. She has a huge collection of gold jewellery. The most important thing is that Kanhaiyalal has achieved this position from floor to ceiling.

About 25 years ago, Kanhaiyalal Khatik used to drive a small cart and sell fruits and vegetables on the streets. But he was very fond of gold jewellery, for which he gives credit to music composer Bappi Lahiri. He is also called ‘Bappi Lahari’ of Rajasthan. In those days a friend had lent him a 20 gram gold chain. With this, he started his own fruit business and soon turned his hobby into a passion.

Do not keep any personal security

As the business progressed, he started importing apples from Kashmir and selling them in Chittorgarh. When business started going well, he fulfilled his hobby of wearing gold. Today Kanhaiyalal walks around wearing about 3-3.5 kg of gold. She has a thick gold chain, a big gold bracelet, gold rings and many such ornaments.

Currently the price of 10 grams of 24 carat gold is around Rs 1.29 lakh. Accordingly, he carries jewelery worth around Rs 4-4.5 crore every day. Despite this, he has not kept any personal security. He is also the District President of the local Khatik Community Association.

Recently, 50 year old Khatik was called and threatened. The caller introduced himself as Rohit Godara gang. First he received a missed call on WhatsApp from an unknown number. This number seemed to be from some other country. After that an audio message came, in which extortion of Rs 5 crore was demanded. They were threatened by saying that if they did not give the money, they would not be able to leave the gold worth wearing. He has lodged a complaint with the police. The police is also on alert mode regarding the ransom threat and has started investigating the matter.
