Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah entered inside on Monday on 13 July 1931 to pay tribute to 22 people killed in the Dogra Army firing and entered the gate of the Sahib cemetery. He alleged that he was ‘pushed’ to stop going there, but he was not going to stop today.
This dramatic scene was seen a day after being under house arrest on 13 July to prevent several leaders of opposition parties including Abdullah and the National Conference to prevent the cemetery on the occasion of Martyr’s Day.
Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav has reacted to Omar Abdullah’s move. By sharing a 28 second video, Akhilesh taunted the Bharatiya Janata Party and the ruling alliance at the Center.

Omar Abdullah reached an auto rickshaw to the martyr memorial
Let us tell you that National Conference President Farooq Abdullah Khanyar reached the martyr memorial in an auto rickshaw, while the Education Minister Sakina arrived at the article and reached the memorial.
Security forces sealed the roads going to the martyred cemetery from Khanyar and Nauhatta in the busy area of Srinagar.
As soon as Omar Abdullah’s convoy reached Khanyar area of the old city, he got down from his car and walked more than a kilometer to reach the cemetery, but the authorities closed the door to the cemetery.
Subsequently, the Chief Minister climbed to the main gate of the cemetery and entered the cemetery premises to read ‘Fatiha’. His security personnel and many other leaders of the National Conference also did the same, after which the gate was finally opened.
Omar Abdullah strongly criticized the Lieutenant Governor and the police for preventing him and his party from entering the cemetery.

Omar Abdullah said, ‘It is sad that those who claim that security and law and order are their responsibility, on their instructions, we were not allowed to read’ Fatiha ‘here. We were kept under house arrest on Sunday.
The angry Chief Minister said, ‘See his shameless, he tried to stop us even today. He tried to misbehave with us. The police sometimes forget the law. Why was I stopped today, when the ban was for tomorrow. He said, ‘It is an independent country in every sense.’
He said, ‘But they consider us their slaves. We are not slaves. We are servants, but public servants. I do not understand why they blow the law even while in uniform? ‘
Abdullah said that he and his party leaders thwarted the police’s efforts to catch him.
Abdullah said, ‘They tried to catch us, tried to tear our flag, but everything went in vain. We came here and read ‘Fatiha’. They feel that the martyrs’ graves take place here only on 13 July, but they are here throughout the year.
He said that the Lieutenant Governor administration will be able to prevent them from paying tribute to the martyrs. He said that if not on July 13, it is on 12 July or 14 December, January or February.

He said, ‘We will come here whenever we want.’ In the video revealed from the Mauke, uniformed people were seen pushing with Omar Abdullah and his team.
Sharing a video on the social media forum ‘X’, he wrote, ‘This is the shock, which I had to face, but I am strong intentions and I could not be stopped. I was not doing any illegal or illegal work. Actually, these ‘defenders of law’ should be told that under which law they were trying to stop us from reading Fatiha.
