Omar abdullah on pahalgam terror attack: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah clarified on Tuesday (June 24) that no local person was involved in the cruel terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April, killing 26 innocent people. He said that the attackers were all foreign terrorists.
Talking to the media in Gulmarg, CM Omar Abdullah said that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) investigating the case has so far arrested two people for giving shelter to the attackers. He said, “It seems that these people would have done this in fear or compulsion. They gave food to the terrorists, but perhaps under pressure. We should allow the investigation to reach our conclusion. Once completed, the NIA will file a charge sheet and take legal action.”
Iran-Israel also gave a statement on the war
On the Iran-Israeli war, CM Abdullah further said, “The sooner the ceasefire is, the better. The battle lasted for 12 days and there was heavy loss,” he hoped that peace efforts would be successful soon. He further said that the government is very concerned about the safety of the students of Jammu and Kashmir trapped in the area.
‘Children had to bring priority’
CM Omar said that our priority was to bring our children back home. Due to the closure of the airspace, the flight operations were obstructed many times, but we hope that a large group will return today, which will fulfill our withdrawal efforts.
