Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju warned the opposition on Saturday (26 July 2025) that repeatedly snatched the opportunity to ask the government on disrupting the proceedings of the House. He said that this weakens his own role in democracy. The opposition costs are demanding a discussion on Sir and Operation Sindoor released in Bihar.
Opposition more damage to the government- Kiren Rijiju
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said that difficult questions are not raised when the house is obstructed. He said, “When Parliament does not run, the officers feel relieved because they survive inquiries. The government can be held accountable in Parliament. When the House runs, the ministers have to face difficult questions. When the House is postponed in a few minutes, they do not even raise questions. The proceedings of Parliament are more damaged by the government.”
‘Opposition is weakening its role’
The Minister of Parliamentary Affairs said, “Those who disrupt the House, feel that they are harming the government, but the truth is that they are weakening their role in democracy. In any democracy, the government should be accountable to the people through Parliament in any democracy, hence letting the House run is necessary for a working democracy.”

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said, “Leaders like Atal Bihari Vajpayee and LK Advani had so much respect that they used to think twice before speaking of Parliament. At that time we used to think twice before speaking because veterans were listening to.
