Mumbai Indians 4th IPL Title IPL 2019: On 12 May 2019, the most exciting final match in IPL history was played, in which the fight continued till the last ball. Chennai Super Kings needed 2 runs in 1 ball to win, but Lasith Malinga put a brilliant yorker ball and lbw batsman Shardul Thakur and MI, captained by Rohit Sharma, won his fourth title. But before this, Jasprit Bumrah had put an important over, which made Mumbai a comeback in the lost bet. Shane Watson played a brilliant innings of 80 runs in this match.
Chasing 150 runs, Chennai Super Kings opener Shane Watson played a brilliant innings but no other batsman could score much. On the fifth ball, Shardul Thakur took 2 runs and now Chennai Super Kings needed 2 runs on the last ball, the score on one run would be equal. Lasith Malinga put the final ball straight to the yorker, which started going on Thakur’s pad and the umpire immediately raised a finger and called. MI won the fourth title under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma.

In this final match played at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians won the toss and chose batting first. Shardul Thakur dismissed Quinton Dickock (29) and Deepak Chahar in the powerplay itself. After this, Suryakumar Yadav was dismissed after scoring 15 and Ishaan Kishan 23 runs. Kiron Pollard scored the most runs for Mumbai, scoring 41 runs in 25 balls. Deepak Chahar, including Hardik Pandya (10), made a total of 3 batsmen his victims.
