During this, she told why she and Nick Jonas are giving priority to hiding the identity of their daughter Malti when she grows up. Priyanka said, “As she’s growing up, we’ve also started to find some distractions. She travels a lot, (so) we let her remain as anonymous as possible. It’s normal for her, and people will be excited to know about her, and I never want her to be afraid of it or judge or doubt people she meets because there are good people in the world, and I’ve had great experiences with friends like her. It’s okay to know this, but I think it’s important to understand the choice.”

The actor further explained why he decided to keep security for his daughter while going out, he told that once a common man followed his daughter from school to home and recorded it. Priyanka admitted that she has decided to live a public life, but she wants to ensure that her daughter has the ability to take this decision herself.

The actress said, “When there is security outside of us, it’s just… not to be recorded without permission because a lot of things like that happen… I’ve always believed that I’ve kind of chosen a public life… (when) it comes to children, that’s… that’s where we’ve all been learning over the last 10 to 20 years about what it’s going to be like for them in the next 10 years, 15 years. So I think there’s a little bit of hope for everyone.” There is a need for leniency, but at the same time there should also be some awareness about safety and what it means.” During the chat, Priyanka said that everyone’s excitement about her daughter is “great”, but she wants to put Malti’s safety above everything else.
