One hour Muhurta trading session ends, Sensex rises 62 points; Nifty crosses 25000


Muhurta Trading 2025: Today on Tuesday, one hour special Muhurat trading session started at 1:45 pm on both BSE and NSE. During this period, BSE Sensex increased by almost 300 points and NSE Nifty opened above 25,900. However, after this the market declined. By 1:55 pm, BSE Sensex was trading 190 points higher at 84,552.82 and NSE Nifty was trading 63 points above 25,900 at 25,906.25.

Market closed with slight gain

One hour later, the Muhurta trading session ended at 2:45 pm with a slight gain. With this, the beginning of Samvat 2082 was positive. At the end of trading, BSE Sensex closed at 84,426.34 with a gain of 62.97 points or 0.07 percent. While NSE Nifty also crossed the level of 25,850 by rising 25.45 points or 0.01 percent.

These shares remained profitable

The top profit making stocks in Nifty included Cipla, Bajaj Finserv, Axis Bank, Infosys, Mahindra & Mahindra, while the losing stocks included Kotak Mahindra Bank, ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel, Max Healthcare and Asian Paints. All sectoral indices closed with gains, including Metal, Media, Energy, An increase of 0.5 percent was recorded in telecom and health care. A rise of 0.3 percent was recorded in BSE Midcap Index and 1 percent rise in Smallcap Index.

During this period, strong global market signals boosted investor sentiment. Asian markets closed with gains, Shanghai Composite recorded a gain of 1.36 percent, Hang Seng recorded a gain of 0.77 percent, Kospi recorded a gain of 0.24 percent and Nikkei 225 recorded a gain of 0.15 percent. In the last session, American markets also closed strongly, which further increased the confidence of Indian investors.
